The internship Program in Partnership with the Visayas State University (VSU) under HRD Project Phase 3 was successfully organized from 8 to 16 May 2023. The program was collaborated with and hosted by Yoshinoya Holdings Co., Ltd. The activity was implemented in Japan where the students learned directly in the field of Yoshinoya’s advanced value chain from the farm to table.
The program was arranged following the flow of Yoshinoya’s Food Value Chain in serving their product from farm to table. The program was started in Yoshinoya’s Fukushima Farm where the participants learned the Good Agricultural Practices and Sustainable Farm Management in the places where Yoshinoya grew their raw materials including rice and vegetable production. On the 5th Day, the participants move to Saitama Prefecture to learn the Good Manufacturing Process in Yoshinoya’s meat and vegetables processing center. On the 7th day, the participants moved to Tokyo to know how Yoshinoya’s service business is run at Yoshinoya’s restaurant. As the final learning series, the participant also had the opportunity to observe the food service market in some food market centers in Tokyo Area.
